Raising money for Save The Children
At Anderson Power Generation, we believe that doing good goes hand in hand with doing great work. This Christmas season, our team came together to support an incredibly important cause by raising money for Save The Children through a festive fundraiser filled with Christmas jumpers, festive hats and plenty of seasonal treats.
Colleagues swapped their usual workwear for bright Christmas jumpers, novelty hats and festive accessories, bringing a real sense of cheer into the workplace. The day was not just about having fun, but about coming together as a team to support children around the world who need help the most.
Why Save The Children Matters
Save The Children is a charity that has been making a life changing difference for children for over a century. Their work focuses on giving children the best possible start in life and protecting them in times of crisis. From providing emergency aid in conflict zones to supporting education, healthcare and nutrition programmes, the impact of their work reaches millions of children and families every year.
For many children across the world, access to clean water, food, education and basic healthcare is not guaranteed. Save The Children works tirelessly to change this by delivering practical support where it is needed most and by advocating for long term solutions that protect children’s rights.
A Festive Fundraiser at Work
To raise money, our team organised a Christmas jumper day alongside a small bake sale in the office. Staff were invited to wear their festive jumpers and hats in exchange for a donation, with all proceeds going directly to Save The Children.
