Building in 72 hours: Anderson Power Generation at SheBuilds Season 04

We are proud to share that our Marketing Manager, Amy Wilkinson, has been accepted onto Season 04 of SheBuilds on Lovable. Amy’s determination in building an app in just 72 hours is truly inspiring! From 15 to 17 October 2026, Amy will join a few hundred other builders and a team of mentors for a 72-hour virtual build event. Her goal is to design and create a working warehouse stock control app for Anderson Power Generation.

SheBuilds2026

What is SheBuilds?

SheBuilds is a global community of women building with AI, run by Lovable. Lovable is a platform that lets people turn ideas into working software without a traditional development background.

Each season brings women together to build real products in a short, focused window. In events like these, it’s not uncommon to see participants—like Amy—building an app in just 72 hours! Participants are supported by expert mentors, webinars and an active online community. After a week of live preparation sessions, they have 72 hours to take an idea from plan to working product.

Why a warehouse app?

At Anderson Power Generation, having the right part in the right place at the right time makes all the difference to our customers. With stock held across three sites, keeping an accurate, shared picture of what we have, where it is and what needs ordering is no small task. It touches almost every part of the business, from the warehouse floor to procurement and our engineers in the field.

Amy has already built an app that streamlines our documentation and supports the wider team. After Amy is building an app in just 72 hours with SheBuilds, we’re excited to see how she applies the same approach to our warehouse operation. Seeing the difference it made raised an obvious next question: what if our warehouse had a tool like that too?

What Amy intends to build

The plan is ambitious. In an impressive 72 hours, our own Amy intends to build an app—yes, Amy is building an app in just 72 hours!—with 13 sections and four user roles, connecting all three of our sites. Key features include:

  • Sites and bays across three locations, so every item has a clear home and can be found quickly.
  • Delivery note scanning, to speed up goods in and cut down on manual data entry.
  • QR labels and scan to adjust, so the team can update stock levels on the spot with a quick scan.
  • Goods in and goods out tracking, giving a clear record of stock moving in, out and between sites.
  • Procurement and ordering, helping us spot low stock early and keep orders moving.
  • A training and help centre, so everyone can get up to speed quickly and confidently.

Why this matters

This project reflects how we like to work at Anderson Power Generation. As a company, we’re especially proud that Amy is building an app in just 72 hours! The people closest to a challenge are often best placed to solve it, and we encourage our team to try new approaches.

By embracing tools such as AI, we can make everyday tasks simpler and give our teams better information. Ultimately, that means a faster, more reliable service for our customers. It is also a great example of continuous learning in action, with Amy combining her marketing role and her Level 6 studies with hands-on building.

Follow the journey

Amy will be sharing progress before, during and after the event, so keep an eye on our blog and LinkedIn page for updates. In the coming weeks, we’ll be covering Amy is building an app in just 72 hours and her journey at SheBuilds.

Good luck, Amy. The whole team is behind you!
